Practice Management

eClinicalWorks Practice Management (PM) system streamlines medical billing management. Unified with its electronic medical records (EMR) solution, eClinicalWorks PM allows customers to reduce their accounts receivables and improve collections.

At log-in, each user is given a role and facility-based security clearance based on their job function. Busy schedules are managed quickly and easily electronically. Create, modify or cancel appointments. Manage patient demographics effectively. Customers have the option to define recurring schedules and block hours for large, multi-location practices. A provider’s schedule can be copied and applied to other providers. Scheduling features allow staff to manage exceptions and select a 5-day or 7-day calendar view.

Submit claims electronically, track the status of claims, and communicate on-line with payers to confirm patient eligibility and determine what services will be paid, and when. eClinicalWorks also support billing electronically with NPI numbers and CMS 1500 (HCFA), UB and ADA (Dental) forms. The insurance eligibility feature allows the practice to verify that a patient is eligible of insurance coverage on a specific date.

Electronically receive and post payments, automatically reconcile each patient encounter, confirm insurances, and check codes (CPT, ICD, etc.) to ensure error-free claims submission. eClinicalWorks PM software is like having another billing assistant – who never stops!

Generate patient statements and collection letters according to practice defined parameters. Easily generate daily, monthly and yearly financial reports. Also, several reports are included in a reports menu, allowing customers to easily monitor the financial aspects of the practice.

eClinicalWorks PM provides features to look up and manage patient accounts. Customers can define mandatory patient files, look up a patient with multiple providers, and check eligibility for serviced quickly and accurately. When the patient visits are complete, summaries are quickly printed.

EMR/EHR

eClinicalWorks’ Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solution enables customers to manage patient flow, immediately access patient records in-house or remotely, electronically communicate with the referring physicians and securely send consult notes and clinical data. Unified with its practice management solution, eClinicalWorks EMR allows users to easily review and complete patient histories, past visits, current medications, allergies, labs and diagnostic tests. Its registry reporting and clinical decision support features make this a next-generation EMR – elevating the role of the system from passively collecting information to actively helping providers give the best medical care possible.

With eClinicalWorks, customers receive the benefit of several different styles and layouts for communicating information about patient visits. Primary care physicians can provide a copy of the note in traditional S.O.A.P format, focusing on the sections they want the recipient to read. Specialty practices can send copies of their notes in the order of Assessment, Plan, Subjective and then Objective. This allows them to communicate the most important aspect of their visit – the patient’s diagnosis and how it will be treated.

eClinicalWorks provides the tools needed for healthcare quality measure and patient disease management using built-in Registry Reporting. Information about a practice’s entire patient population is truly at the provider’s fingertips.
