The healthcare
industry has often been described as "behind the
times" in terms of technological advancement and
automation of many clinical and "back office"
functions. At the same time, it is frequently
predicted that the integration of technology
into the day-to-day operations of medical
practices will advance greatly in coming years.
However, exactly how technology will help
doctors and practices provide better patient
care is rarely laid out with any
specificity. The crystal ball is a little
cloudy in that regard, and it can be
|
very difficult for a
practice to get started in the right direction.
It is critical for practices to make the right
investments in new enterprise-level technology
and systems, and selecting the right partners to
implement and support that technology is a key
part of that investment.
Years ago, Precision
Practice Management committed itself to the
development of software and practice support
systems that would offer medical practices a
"migration path" to greater efficiencies and
productivity, which in turn leads to better
patient care. There is no magic to the process -
no secret formula. It is a matter of
consistently evaluating newly available hardware
and software, integrating those products
together with previously proven systems, then
upgrading and enhancing existing platforms. This
allows supported practices to continually
advance the technology and automation available
to them in a smooth and productive way.
Throughout this process, technology must not
only provide benefits, it must provide value. If
new technology is too expensive or cannot be
integrated effectively with existing practice
workflow and systems, then that technology will
not be recommended by Precision. Technology and
automation must "pay for itself" by way of
better patient care and a return on investment
for a practice. And that value equation must be
applied to each practice individually - each
specialty, each practice and each doctor is
unique, with specific needs and requirements
that must be individually considered in light of
the technology that supports workflow.
But evaluating hardware
and software systems is only the starting point
for Precision. By its nature, technology and
automation is complicated and continually
changing. It takes knowledgeable and skilled
personnel to identify and recommend the right
changes to make, the right opportunities to
embrace. And those recommendations should be
practice and doctor specific. Precision's staff
is highly trained and focused on getting the
most from the systems deployed at every client
site. We continually re-evaluate formatting and
workflow to make sure every opportunity for
productivity, efficiency and better patient care
is realized.
Precision is also a
highly automated, technically oriented,
functionally efficient medical billing company.
For those practices and hospitals that have
their own in-house medical billing staff,
Precision expertly supports the Encite Billing
Manager practice management software platform.
Precision likewise supports the Encite Clinical
Manager for practices embracing electronic
health records technology. And unlike many
software providers, Precision's support is broad
based, providing all the hardware, mobile
technology, wireless, internet, domain, and
network support that a practice needs to make
its practice management and clinical EHR
software platforms perform at peak efficiency.
In short, Precision is the "business behind the
practice".
Precision now supports
over 400 medical providers in 25 different
medical specialties. Some of those providers are
practice-based, and some are hospital-based. But
all of Precision's clients share and enjoy a
common, critically focused attention that
includes personalized day-to-day involvement
with Precision's staff, as and when needed.
Precision works directly with each doctor and
practice staff member to ensure that best
advantage is consistently taken of all available
back-office and clinical technology. Precision's
mission is to provide technology solutions that
truly work helping doctors provide better
clinical care to patients. That is what
Precision Practice Management is all
about.
