Paul Roberts

Practice Administrator

"Metro Ortho is a 5 physician 2 office orthopedic group. Precision was engaged to start the process of "taking our practice paperless" and the results have been tremendous. First, our office network was significantly upgraded by Precision. Then, all of our physicians went wireless in both of our offices and from home. Our dictation workflow was then automated via an EHR to Dragon interface and we are now scanning, generating e-files or receiving e-faxes for all documents that we formerly archived in paper form. We have now completed our transition to electronic health records. Precision has also provided strong tech support for us - even on weekends - with extremely quick response time. That kind of support is really hard to find.""

North Shore Vein Center
North Shore Medical Spa

Up until March 2010, Dr. Mark Schwartz was a surgeon in a general and vascular surgery group practice, and although he found that group practice fulfilling in many ways, he decided that it was time for him to go out on his own. His immediate goal was to establish a highly successful, patient oriented medical facility focused comprehensively on varicose and spider vein removal. His longer term goal was to...

ICD-10

A Significant Change

ICD-10 coding will be a reality in October of 2014, but ICD-10 requirements are already impacting provider organizations, as the implementation planning for the transition is well under way. Since the new ICD-10 code set allows for more than 68,000 separate diagnosis codes, both clinical software systems and practice management software functionality must be addressed and updated to accommodate the transition to ICD-10.

Meaningful Use

Benefits of the Meaningful Use of EHRs

As Electronic Health Record software becomes more prolific and well-established, the challenge today is not so much the specific implementation of EHR software itself but making best use of that software. Achieving “Meaningful Use” is the first hurdle, and therefore Precision’s first point of focus as we implement electronic health record systems for our clients. As government standards increase and change over time, Precision dedicates substantial resources toward assisting its clients with satisfying meaningful use criteria and earning the associated financial incentives.
